This is the home of the "Gefechtstroß". The combat support trains of the Großdeutschland Infantry Division. We are WWII reenactors, representing the support troops that followed the Wehrmacht. As with all armies, the Germans had numerous soldaten transporting equipment and supplies, providing medical care and cooking for the "front line" troops who fought the battles. Without these troops, the "blitzkrieg" could have never happened. Supplies, food, maintenance both of the soldat (medical) and his equipment, allowed the "Landser" to complete his mission.

Mission Statement...The mission of our reenactment group is:

1) To honor the support soldaten by showing the public and other reenactors, how they took care of all the things most soldiers take for granted...fixing, cooking, maintaining communications and treating wounded.

2) To maintain an accurate impression of the support troops.

3) To educate the public, other reenactors and ourselves about the real WWII German Support Soldat.

NON-POLITICAL STATEMENT... GD Combat Trains is not affiliated with, nor does it embrace, the philosophies of any radical, political, or racist organizations or individuals. If you are looking for such activities or support such organizations you are not welcome here. We are "Living Historians" endeavoring to show how the WWII German support soldier lived.
